- Assam - असम (299),
- Nagaland - नगालैंड (150) and
- Karnataka - कर्नाटक (118).
In Manipur, the highest number of Paite speakers is registered in :
- Churachandpur - चुराचान्दपुर (52,716),
- Imphal West - इम्फाल पश्चिम (1,543) and
- Imphal East - इम्फाल पूर्व (616).
In Mizoram, the highest number of Paite speakers is registered in:
- Champhai - चमफाई (17,475),
- Aizawl - आईज़ोल (4,160) and
- Kolasib - कोलासिब (273).
Outside Manipur and Mizoram, Paite speakers are recorded in Meghalaya in East Khasi Hills - ईस्ट खासी हिल्स (749); in Delhi in South West - दक्षिण पश्चिम (241) and South - दक्षिणी (109); in Assam in Karbi Anglong - कार्बी आंग्लंग (135) and in Karnataka in Bangalore - बेंगलूरू (241).
