In accordance with Census 2011 there are 30,839 Nocte speakers in India covering 0,003 % of the country's total population.
Nocte speakers are seen in:
- Arunachal Pradesh - अरुणाचल प्रदेश (30,308 with 2.19 % of the state's population) and
- Assam - असम (279).
