Outside Manipur, significant proportion of Kabui speakers are recorded in Nagaland in Peren - पेरेन (3,757) and Dimapur - दीमापुर (2,635) and Kohima - कोहिमा (500) in Assam in Cachar - कछार (4,984), Karbi Anglong - कार्बी आंग्लंग (289), Dima Hasao - दीमा हसाव (186) and in Meghalaya in East Khasi Hills - ईस्ट खासी हिल्स (156).

Outside Nagaland, Zeliang speakers are significant in Manipur in Senapati - सेनापति (2,710) and in Meghalaya in Ribhoi - रिभोइ (279).
