• Imphal East - इम्फाल पूर्व (596),
• Imphal West - इम्फाल पश्चिम (452) and
• Tamenglong - तामेंलों (349).

• Phek - फ़ेक (7,294),
• Kohima - कोहिमा (4,196),

Outside Manipur and Nagaland, good numbers of Mao speakers are recorded in Rajasthan in Jodhpur - जोधपुर (218) and in Meghalaya in East Khasi Hills - ईस्ट खासी हिल्स (165).
