• Assam - असम (125) and
• Bihar - बिहार (123).

Among the districts in Nagaland, the highest number of Chang speakers is noticed in:

• Tuensang - त्युएनसांग ((59,979),
• Mokokchung - मोकोकचुंग (2,777),
• Dimapur - दीमापुर (1,789) and
• Kohima - कोहिमा (762).

Outside Nagaland, Chang is not spoken significantly in any State/UT. Chang speakers is available in Tirap - तिराप (706).
