- Manipur - मणिपुर (107).
Among the districts in Assam, the highest number of Karbi/Mikir speakers is noticed in:

Outside Assam, significant number of Karbi/Mikir speakers are recorded in Meghalaya in Ribhoi - रिभोइ (13,198) and Jaintia Hills - जैन्तिया हिल्स (1,067) in Arunachal Pradesh in Papum Pare - पापुम पारे (1,349) and in Nagaland in Dimapur - दीमापुर (314 ) and Kohima - कोहिमा (134).
