Korwa speakers are distributed in:
- Chhattisgarh - छत्तीसगढ (19,212 with 0.08 % of the state's population),
- Jharkhand - झारखंड (2,341),
- Madhya Pradesh - मध्य प्रदेश (2,147),
- West Bengal - पश्चिम बंगाल (2,009) and
- Maharashtra - महाराष्ट्र (1,546),
- Odisha - ओडिशा (478),
- Assam - असम (317) and
- Karnataka - कर्नाटक (132).
Among the districts in Chhattisgarh, the highest proportion of Korwa speakers is noticed in:
- Surguja - सरगुजा (17,423),
- Jashpur - जशपुर (928),
- Koriya - कोरिया (365),
- Korba - कोरबा (259) and
- Raigarh - रायगढ़ (145).
Outside Chhattisgarh, significant number of Korwa speakers are also recorded in West Bengal in Barddhaman - बर्द्धमान (1,669) and Puruliya - पुरूलिया (103), in Madhya Pradesh in Harda - हरदा (1,032) and Chhindwara - छिन्दवाड़ा (952), in Maharashtra in Mumbai - मुंबई (717), Mumbai Suburban - मुंबई उपनगर (459) and Amravati - अमरावती (192), in Odisha in Garhwa - गढ़वा (624), Khunti - खूंटी (400) Dhanbad - धनबाद (378) and Giridih - गिरिडीह (288).
